These assets feature stone structures engraved with the names of Yagishita Yoemon and other Yarimizu merchants, as well as shrine buildings decorated with intricate carvings and sophisticated wooden interlocking designs donated by the merchants. By walking around and observing the Silk Road and the former residence of Yagishita Yoemon (Silk Road Museum), it is possible to get a sense of the prosperity of the Yarimizu merchants who played a key part in the development of Hachioji/Mulberry City.
