This is a large-scale Goma Buddhist ritual held at Yakuoin Temple in which participants walk barefoot over burning gomagi wooden tablets, praying to ward off calamities and for good fortune.
The ritual is held every March, and after the practitioners of Shugendo, the general public can also participate.
