The Tama Weaving Crafts Center is managed and operated by the Hachioji Textile Industry Association as a facility where you can experience and feel the “Tama Weaving,” a constituent cultural asset of the Japanese heritage "Spiritual Mt. Takao The Mulberry City Story Woven by the Prayers of the People." At the Tama Weaving Crafts Center, participants can weave textiles using a handloom under the guidance of a Tama Weaving traditional craftsman, offering a "hand weaving experience." Additionally, the center hosts the "Japanese Heritage Mulberry City & Hachioji Exhibition," showcasing creative and unique works by artists connected to Hachioji, with a focus on the constituent cultural assets of Japanese heritage, which visitors can freely view when the center is open.
